NDI Integrated Into Magewell Capture Cards

April 22, 2016 by Chuck Baker

Nanjing Magewell Electronics Co., Ltd announced their popular Pro Capture PCIe 2.0 and USB capture devices will seamlessly integrate with NewTek’s Network Device Interface (NDI®) standard, allowing access to any video source on the network. This solution creates the most efficient broadcast video production scenario possible with unlimited source choice and ubiquitous operating system compatibility.

“NewTek’s breakthrough NDI technology defines the standard of performance for broadcast video production. With access to all sources, the whole story can now be easily told, and that’s what every studio wants: Any source. Any time. Anywhere,” stated Fei Ma, CTO of Magewell. “That’s what the NewTek Magewell workflow offers. We are honored that NewTek and Magewell have products that work together. The future of video production has arrived. The future is now.”

Magewell capture products with NDI enabled can bridge non-IP cameras to the network, permitting remote access to and control of any connected source.  Content creators can thus have IP access using existing SDI and HDMI equipment.
